This month, the city pauses to appreciate all things technology in the City of Brotherly Love, and Baer Crossey intends to be there. Scheduled to occur from April 20th through April 27th, Philly Tech Week is designed as a week-long celebration of innovation in our ever-expanding tech community. Dozens of events are scheduled, ranging from a live game of Pong played on the LED-lighted surface of the Cira Centre building, to the Wharton Business Plan Competition finals, to an exciting array of speaking events covering topics of interest to every species in the technology ecosystem.
Speaking on the legal aspects of technology and entrepreneurship will be Baer Crossey’s own Chris McDemus, an accomplished business transactional and securities attorney with over eighteen years of experience and an active legal advocate for entrepreneurs and investors in the region. Chris will be joined by his esteemed colleagues, Morgan Lewis partner Jeff Bodle, Pepper Hamilton partner Chris Miller, and Mel Baiada, founder and managing partner at BaseCamp Ventures.
The group will be on hand on April 22nd from 5-7 p.m. at Quorum (3711 Market Street, 8th Floor) to highlight some critical early stage venture founder considerations, in a panel discussion entitled “The Entrepreneur’s Pre-Nup.” Attendees can anticipate learning about issues co-founders must address early on to avoid company-killing problems down the road.
Have fun, and we’ll see you there!
